slavery poem

by JC

Slavery back then.......

Driven far away,
Missing father and mother,
And all the games we used to play,
Shoved into an unknown ship,
While bodies died from hunger and starvation
on the voyage trip,
Taken to places far and wide,
With each place awaited a misery surprise,
One by on we were left in a country,
Unknown to us and we could see nothing,
This was perhaps an instant trade of slavery,
But could of been done?

This poem is true or was true should i say.It tells the deep sorrow that was for slaves. How they were taken from there land and seperated from their parents. What does a person have after that

I think that the poem really would get to people because it is sad and it is what it was a long time ago. I also think that it was wrong what they used to do to African Americans because they are also humans and they had feelings. I mean They wouldn't like it if they were separated from their family and got taken some where to work and get sold like if they were somebodies property. I also think that they all really suffered and they wouldn't want nobody to pass through that and they
